Anyway, I played for a night recently after a really stressed out day at work and it is a really good way to unwind. The sound on my computer goes way up on nights like those so I can sink myself into the whole experience. I used Cherry Red’s Click2Pay link to get some money into my account that night so I could get to playing and once it was in there I headed straight for Blackjack.
Perfect Pairs Blackjack lets you put up an extra bet on whether the cards are going to be a pair or not. It’s a nice little side wager that most of the time doesn’t do much, but if you hit it just right, man it can be sweet. I threw a ton of money into it that night with an extra 5 or 25 here and there and got lucky twice, both times when I bet 25, and that pair nets you 6 times your bet so that totally rocked!
I did pretty good on my Blackjack hands that night too. It started kind of slow, I kept busting and making stupid decisions, like on this one hand I had a ten and three, and I doubled (dealer had a seven showing). I don’t know what I was thinking. I had bet a full hundred on that game with twenty five on the pairs bet (obviously lost that one), and I go and double! I must have been drunk! I got a three, the dealer wound up with seventeen so I lose with sixteen. That one bummed me out because it was just a dumb move on my part.
On another hand though, I redeemed myself. Well, okay, maybe it was something to do with luck too. Threw down a hundred on one hand, got a six and seven (bye bye pairs bet, ha ha), and I doubled again. Next card I got was an eight and dealer had to stand with seventeen. Woohoo 21 I win! That one was really sweet!
I had some ups and downs but over the course of the night ended up mostly breaking even. I thought about just leaving the cash in my balance but thought I better withdraw because I had some bills coming up, so I used a Bank Wire to get my money back, and that went smooth as silk as usual. I am really looking forward to getting back and playing again this week.
